Social Media Ruled Super Bowl XLVII

The Ravens are the Super Bowl XLVII champions; however, they aren’t the only winners. With a total of 13.7 million tweets between the hours of 6- 11pm, social media ruled Super Bowl XLVII!

Throughout the game (and blackout!), viewers tuned in and spoke out. No opportunity was lost, as demonstrated by the creative ways brands connected with their market during the game. My fave below.

Taco Bell also used social media to spread it’s ad by sending it to it’s 150,000 employees before the game began.

The President joined in the discussion with a tweet of his own.

Mishaps also happened, as shown by Joe Theismann’s tweet about Beyonce.

In the end, as shown below, it can’t be denied that brands using social media were the real champions of Super Bowl XLVII.
